About Us

Mandaue City College (MCC) is an accredited and member-school of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU) and ALCU-Commission on Accreditation (ALCU-COA).

MCC is a local college of Higher Education Institution (HEI) established for the poor and deserving students of Mandaue City and neighboring towns who does not have access to education in mainstream public of private colleges or universities. Its charter, City Ordinance No., 10-2005-324A, “An Ordinance Establishing Mandaue City College and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefore” was enacted by the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Mandaue City on September 27, 2005 and then amended by Ordinance 419, Series of 2007 in the 11th SP.

MCC’s philosophy is to be a caring and committed institution of higher learning to be founded by “Scientia et Dilegentia” (Knowledge & Skills). MCC’s vision is to cultivate the mind, body, and the heart for the promotion of one’s faith, country, and family for total human transformation while its mission is to develop competent, productive, innovative and values-driver, technically-skilled professional leaders and citizens of a strong City of Mandaue and the Filipino Republic.

Mandaue City College is a member of the Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU). ALCU is working closely with the Senate Committee on Education in legislation that would benefit local colleges and universities.

The primary thrust of ALCU is to improve the quality of instruction, research, and extension of its member schools and to provide value public tertiary education, especially to the poor and disadvantaged youth.

Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) is now closely allied with the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Inc. (ALCUCOA), organized only in the later part of year 2003.

The AACCUP is a member of the:

  • National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies, Inc. (NNQAA), formed by AACCUP and the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation, Inc. (ALCUCOA).
  • Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) with AACCUP as member of the Steering Group based in Hong Kong, China.
  • International Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
